Munirah Looi is a visionary leader with a career spanning over three decades in digital transformation, sustainability, and ecosystem building. Known for her ability to bridge technology, finance, sustainability, and people leadership, she has dedicated her life to creating impact that is both economically meaningful and socially inclusive.
As the founder of Brandt International, Munirah built and led the company for over 20 years, guiding its growth into a respected player in digital transformation and customer experience before her exit in 2025. For her, success has never been just about building businesses — it has been about building people. She has mentored countless individuals, from rising talents to C-suite leaders, inspiring the next generation to embrace change with confidence and purpose.
Her leadership has been recognized on global platforms. Munirah was a Top 3 Nominee for the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Award 2018, recipient of the Master Entrepreneur Award 2021 (APEA Regional Edition), and honored with the Distinguished Women Entrepreneur Lifetime Achievement Award 2022. In 2023, she was conferred a Doctor of Laws honoris causa by the University of Nottingham in recognition of her contributions to industry and society.
Beyond entrepreneurship, she has played an influential role in Malaysia’s digital economy and sustainability initiatives, serving in leadership capacities with MyDIGITAL Corporation, MYCentre4IR, and as a Trustee of the Tunku Abdul Rahman Foundation.
